Ssb Hospital Bhubaneswar
The Super Specialty Block (SSB) at Bhubaneswar’s Sishu Bhawan Hospital is now functional. The block was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday.
With the addition of the SSB, Sishu Bhawan has become the first government hospital in Odisha to offer super specialty services.
It will also benefit patients from neighbouring states like Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, who often come to Bhubaneswar for treatment.
The new block houses four departments – cardiology, neurology, nephrology and urology. It has been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like a cath lab, an angiography suite and a dialysis unit.
There are also 20 beds in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The total cost of setting up the SSB was Rs 100 crore, which was borne by the State Government. The Chief Minister also announced that another Rs 50 crore would be provided for the development of Sishu Bhawan’s infrastructure.
